I bargained with life for a penny and life would pay no more, however I begged at evening when I counted my scanty store. For life is a just employer, he gives you what you ask. But once you have set the wages, why, you must bear the task. I worked for a menial's hire, only to learn dismayed, that any wage I had asked of Life, Life would have willingly paid - Anon. Affirmation: I relax knowing that my needs are met. Abundance flows through my life.
A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separate from the rest - a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Out task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. - Albert Einstein Affirmation: I see every human being as someone's child and treat them as such
Rather than seeing a child's behaviour as the fault of a parent and therefore blaming the parents, if we could just see that children have definite behaviour tendencies from past lives and are drawn to a particular parent or parents who have unique strengths, understanding and ability to guide them. The parents' inner attitude can then change from one of embarrassment and failure to feeling that they have been blessed by God in receiving a 'challenging' child - Joyce & Barry Vissell, Models of Love Affirmation: I am the perfect parent for my child
